| Enosoft DV Processor Help |
The Input and Output stages of the Enosoft DV Processor permit control of the transport mechanism(s) of the attached DV device(s). The controls comprise a cluster of buttons and a slider control:

The function of each button is as follows:
Reverse
search mode (typically at x10 normal speed)
Forward
search mode (typically at x10 normal speed)
Rewind mode
Fast forward mode
Play
mode
Pause
mode (either Play-Pause or Record-Pause, depending on the whether the device
is in play mode or record mode). Unlike the other buttons, this button can be
used to enter Pause mode and to resume Play/Record mode.
Record
mode. If the DV device contains write-protected media or no media, this button
will be disabled.
Stop
mode.
To select a given mode, simply left-click once with the mouse on the appropriate button. Depending upon the particular device, it may take a second or two for the device to respond to the request.
The status of the device's transport mechanism is polled every second by the software and the buttons will be updated to reflect the current status.
The slider acts as a jog/shuttle control. There are twelve steps either side of the mid-point. The exact behavior of the control depends upon the DV device that is being controlled. The further the slider is moved from the mid-point, the faster the device will play (in either forward or reverse), ranging from typically x1/10 normal speed to x10 normal speed.
